Statistically, in Australia, in any one year, around 1 million Australian adults have depression, and over 2 million have anxiety. Those in the Christian community are not exempted from being affected at different times and levels personally in our very unstable and changeable world in this regard.

With that in mind when Jesus challenges us through Matt 6:24. saying “do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” How can we use his thoughts essentially to continue to maintain a positive Mental Health outlook in our lives?

For the thousands, that listened to Jesus when he was teaching the beatitudes, every day was enormously challenging to them – possibly like us, now? Knowing that He still asked them and us now not to worry? - Beyond today.

Possibly reasons:

Over emotionally investing in the changeability of what problems will be there or won’t be there tomorrow can negatively distract us from applying positive resources to ourselves and today’s issues

Secondly, we are not in the tomorrow yet, God is. He is just waiting for us to call it today. Then we can work together on what is worrying us.
