When everything shakes

We are in an unprecedented time. A global pandemic causing pressure on nations in various ways. Social and political upheaval in many places. Haggai the prophet told of a time where God would shake “heaven and earth…and I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire of all nations” Haggai 2:8. The Desire of all nations is referring to the Messiah, the Promised Anointed King, Jesus. We can place our desire and expectation on Him!

The book of Hebrews quotes from Haggai and adds that these times of shaking are for the “removal of those things that can be shaken, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear”. With Jesus there is hope in the trouble. The eternal things will remain. Is your expectation in Him? If so, you need not fear in these times but receive the grace of God so that you can serve God’s purposes in the midst of these times! The promise is: you will receive His kingdom!
