Walking in the Light

Rev. Daniel Wallis

Psalm 89:15-16 says: ‘Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you, who walk in the light of your presence, O LORD. They rejoice in your name all day long; they exult in your righteousness.’ In healthy loving families, you find fathers who delights in his children and children who are rejoicing in their father’s presence.

This is exactly what the Heavenly Father has promised us and delights in, especially when it is at work in His people. The deeper our relationship goes with God, the stronger our faith will become where we will be walking in the light and rejoicing in his presence all day long. Too often we find ourselves leaving our faith at home so as not to offend anyone. Yet, when we do this, we offend God. The Christian life isn't only confined to a Sunday service or a mid-week study group. It’s an all-encompassing faith that should affect every decision we make every day.

So as you go about your daily lives, remember to walk in the light living the way Scripture has outlined and is pleasing to God and rejoicing His name all the day long.
