Living Life

Rev. Roland Sondergeld (Presbyterian Minister)

The wonder of Christ coming in human flesh is life-changing for all of us. Jesus knew the darkness that clouds our lives, he knows what is the poverty of the human being. Christ came not as an example for us, but of us. Who wants a Christianity that we have made up from our human darkened mind. Proverbs 14:12 tell us “There is a way that seems right to a man but in the end it leads to death”. The Gospel of John was written “That you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His name.” John 20:31.

As a father gathers his children into his arms at the end of a long and trying day, so God longs to draw us into his embrace no matter what your past or present, come; lean back in the shelter of his love and listen to God’s heartbeat. Let him teach you about life, death and eternity as his beloved child. Don’t try to hold God’s hands; let him do the holding. And remember that it is with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye. God loves you, calls you, saves you, comes to you. He lives in us not in buildings made by human hands.
