I can’t keep the COVID rules!

I was waking up early in the mornings with a sense of anxiety. It started with COVID. I realized that it wasn’t just the extra workload causing the stress, I was anxious about breaking the rules. Actually, I realized that I couldn’t even keep them. Had I been 140 cm next to someone? Had I wiped my desk before I left? The consequences could be a fine or jail time. If I asked for forgiveness, to be let off, there was no chance of that. No grace. Hence the anxiety!! I could never keep the COVID rules 100% of the time which was interesting because that’s the way it is with God’s law too. No matter how good we are, we can’t keep God’s rules 100% of the time. None of us can; we will tell a lie, we will be rude or angry with another. Psalm 130:3 If you, Lord, kept a record of sins, Lord, who can stand? We deserve God’s punishment. BUT THE BIG DIFFERENCE IS THAT GOD GIVES US GRACE WHEN WE ASK FOR FORGIVENESS. We just must ask!! That’s GOOD NEWS.
