Come on and Celebrate

Rev. Roland Sondergeld (Presbyterian Minister)

Celebration is an important aspect of life. This time of the year is when we celebrate the life, death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ. As a result of all that Jesus Christ has done, He has received us into His life. He has made us a part of His world. He has included us in the abounding life He shares with His Father and Spirit.

We are designed, or wired, to experience life in fellowship with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This gives us freedom to give and receive, freedom to know and be known, freedom to love and be loved. Without it we are self-centred, in a self-protective world of hiding and brokenness, bitterness, frustration and chaos.

The result is fears are gone, insecurity is gone, self-centredness is gone, broken relations are gone, and chaos is gone. The gospel is the news that this Jesus is sharing Himself with you and me, and indeed with the world — inside our darkness.

Celebrate life.
