Christ – mess! Can you imagine someone saying that? Isn’t Christmas about being polished, pretty, with happy and carefree times. The problems disappear! Yet not all has been perfect in 2020. Some have lost connection, hope, jobs, loved ones, family, confidence and belief. World and local finances are in turmoil. Systems that were put in place to protect us now seem to control, manipulate and discourage us. Mess! We see the messiness of the human heart condition too; extortion, feathering the nest, cheating, self-advancement and pure selfishness.

Jesus was born into the world perfect, though the world around Him was messy, filled with imperfection. King Herod destroyed many infant lives as he tried to rid the world of the ‘coming king’, Jesus. Yet some did worship Him. Matthew 1:21 says Jesus came to save people from their mess. Mistakes, wrong decisions, shame. To exchange the mess for hope, peace, love. The promise of a new start, a transformational process. Choose to let Christ be your life saver. Colossians 1:13-14. For He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son He loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. Choose Him.
